Kinuso Shut Down Update

Update for all affected Kinuso Rural Water Coop customers,

Big Lakes County is currently constructing a new water storage reservoir and distribution facility on the corner of Spruce Point Park road and HWY 2. In order to tie the new facility in to the existing system, 3 separate shut downs will occur.

Updated Schedule

  1. November 2-4, Area #1 (Red lines on the map) Spruce Point Park Branch including south on Range Road 104/105, completed. Boil Water Advisory is still in effect
  2. November 14-15 – Service shut down to Rural Coop for 18-36 hrs. We have broken up the coop into 3 separate areas.

Area #1 (Red lines on the map) – Spruce Point Park Branch in cluding south on Range Road 104/105.

Area #2 (Blue lines on the map) – Faust to Kinuso Transmission line including services along g HWY2 east of strawberry service and including north on Range Road 102 ( museum road)

Area #3 (Green lines on the map) all  services east of  Range Road 102

The Hamlet of Kinuso and Swan River First Nation area around the Hamlet of Kinuso have 45 days of storage and will not be affected

Kinuso Truck Fill Station will be shut down during this time. Please use the Faust truck fill during this time.

  1. November 29-30 Area #1 (Red lines on the map) – Spruce Point Park Branch including south on Range Ro ad 104/105.

Water Advisories may be implemented for some of these areas. Notices will be issued if any advisories are placed.
