Notice is hereby given that Big Lakes County is accepting bids for the sale of the following land:
Legal Description: Plan 772 2085, Block 2, Lot 38
Rural Address: 5 2nd Street NE
Location: Hamlet of Grouard
Lot Size: 3, 925m² (42, 253.19 ft2 or 0.97 acre)
Reserve Bid: $7,000
The sale of the above noted parcel is subject to any restrictions and reservations noted on the certificate of title. No bid will be accepted where the bidder attempts to attach conditions precedent to the sale of the parcel. No terms or conditions of sale will be considered other than those specified by Big Lakes County.
This lot is offered for sale on an “as is” and “where is” basis. The County makes no warranties whatsoever as to the adequacy of services, soil conditions, land use designation, development conditions, absence or presence of environmental contamination, or the developability of the parcel for the intended use by the purchaser.
Any person wishing to place a bid on a lot must do so prior to January 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Bids may be mailed or dropped off at the County Administration Office, Box 239, High Prairie, AB, T0G 1E0, in a sealed envelope marked “PLAN 772 2085, BLOCK 2, LOT 38 - BIG LAKES COUNTY LAND SALE”. Please mark the envelope clearly. A ten percent (10%) deposit must accompany all bids. This amount is non-refundable and will be applied to the purchase price at time of closing. The deposit amount for unsuccessful bids will be returned. Terms of the sale are cash, certified cheque, or money order. The balance of the purchase price must be paid within thirty (30) days from the date of bid acceptance. GST is applicable.
