Water Treatment Facilities

Enilda Pumphouse

The Enilda Pumphouse is a 920m3 water storage facility. This pump house’s water is supplied by the Town of High Prairie Water Treatment Plant via the south side water coop. This facility monitors and rechlorinates the water to be distributed to the hamlet of enilda and the big meadow area. It is equipped with a stand by fire pump for emergency flows along with a stand by generator to supply power in the event of an outage.

Faust

The Faust Water Treatment Plant is a level 2 facility. It is a conventional rapid gravity sand filter plant with a 1022 m3 storage reservoir.

This facility draws its raw water from Lesser Slave Lake, approximately 300m NW of the Faust marina. The raw water is stored in 2 water storage reservoirs south of the water plant.

The water is then treated and distributed to the hamlets of Faust and Kinuso, the Swan River First Nation and the Kinuso Rural Water Coop.

Grouard

The Grouard Water Treatment Plant is a level 2 facility. It is a conventional rapid gravity sand filter plant with a 2900m3 storage reservoir.

This facility draws its raw water from lesser slave lake, approximately 300m south of the Hilliard’s Bay Raw water pumphouse. The raw water is piped 13 kms to the Grouard water plant.

The water is then treated and distributed to the hamlet of Grouard, the Kapaweno First Nation.

Joussard

The Joussard Water Treatment Plant is a level 2 facility. It has been upgraded to a dual train clarifier with 4 rapid gravity sand filters followed by 3 reverse osmosis filtration membranes. The treated water storage is now 1200m3.

This facility draws its raw water from lesser slave lake, approximately 365m NE of the water plant.

The water is then treated and distributed to the hamlet of Joussard.

This facility is currently in the process of being upgraded/replaced.

Kinuso

Kinuso pumphouse has been upgraded to a 1500m3 storage facility relocated to the corner of rr104 and hwy to better serve the region. This facility provides service to the hamlet of kinuso, Swan River First Nation and the kinuso rural coop.

Riverbend Pumphouse

The Riverbend Pumphouse is a 110 m3 water storage facility. This pump house’s water is supplied by the Town of High Prairie Water Treatment Plant via a direct line to the Town’s distribution grid. This facility monitors and rechlorinates the water to be distributed to the Riverbend area. It is equipped with a stand by generator to supply power in the event of an outage.
